Traffic controller training RTOs
Only RTOs registered by ASQA and with an agreement with SafeWork can train and assess for Traffic Control Work Training in NSW. Information on how to apply.
Approval to conduct training and assessment in NSW
To gain approval, the RTO must apply to SafeWork and if approved, will sign an agreement that requires the RTO including Personnel and Representatives to comply with the Regulator requirements to deliver the services.
The application fee is shown in our list of fees and charges.
To apply the RTO must:
- add the required unit/s of competency for the class of work to the RTO scope of Registration with the Australian Skills Quality Authority
- read the Standard Terms and Conditions, as well as the General Conditions, the RTO Guide and the TCWT Conditions and ensure that they (and any staff, partners or contractors) can comply.
- complete and lodge an Application to Deliver Traffic Work Training (PDF, 1248.7 KB).
Once the RTO application is received, the Regulator will undertake a review and assess the application.
If approved, the Regulator will forward the Agreement to deliver the Services to the RTO for signature by an Authorised Officer. The RTO must sign and return the agreement to the Regulator. Following receipt of the RTO signed Agreement, the Regulator will sign the Agreement and provide an approval certificate and a copy of the executed agreement to the RTO. The RTO will then be able to commence delivery.
